Delete Versions

List,

We are unable to delete our interactive and batch versions that we no longer
need.

I've tried in different environments, with different versions and I've tried
deleting from within BV and OMW. We do not receive any errors.

If we click delete, the version goes away, but as soon as we click find,
it reappears. Has anyone run across this?

Thanks,
Mechele

We just called JDE about this same issue and they told us their is no way to
remove old versions.

We are on Xe SP14.2 and I have no problem deleting old Batch Versions from
the OMW.

There are a couple of things I need to check first:

Make sure OMW Activity Rules exist for Status 21 to 21, action 02 (delete)
for object type UBEVER and APPVER.

Is the Version IN any Project (Often it is in the default project of anyone
who amended it). If it is remove it from the project.

You can check this by selecting Form Exit - Search By Object in OMW. This
will list ALL projects which reference this Object.

Add the object to a project at Status 21, where you are PVC administrator,
and select Del in OMW. This should prompt you with a screen of locations to
delete from. Choose ALL LOCATIONS and with any luck the Version is gone for
good.

I could be wrong (wouldn't be the first time!) but you may be skipping the last step. Once an object is deleted from a project, it still appears until I highlight it and click the right arrow (remove from project) button. Hope this helps.

Sondra,

Yes, this it is possible to delete them. Another member (Carl Fisher)from
jdelist advised me to set up an Activity Rule in the OMC for the UBEVER
and APPVER to have an Action = 02. This allows you to delete versions from
the BV and OMW.

Hope this helps because it worked for me!
