DB2/OS400 vs Oracle DB

Hello,
To your experience, what is the best database (for performances) when you are a 600GB production database and 300 concurrents users ?
If Oracle is better, is Standard version is enough or Enterprise version is necessary ?

It depends on your staff and their knowledge of the database. REALLY, it does.

DB2 is, fairly, self-tuning. Oracle has to be finessed every day =D. If you have a staff that understands the fundamentals, either DB flies.
