Data Selection

Does anyone know of a way to have the Data Selection automatically pop up
when running a UBE from a menu. I know you can have it prompt Processing
Options automatically but can you do Data selection automatically?

There is an ESU for this enhancement (4325638). The documentation should
explain it all.

Re: [Data Selection ]

Hi

For the moment, it's not possible to pop up automatically.

A way around is use the proccesing options, if is a new report create the
proccesing options and in the Initialize Section do a "Set User Selection"
with the PO.

Regards

Bryan,

Get document ott-00-0038 from the Knowledge garden. Basically, you need to
be at B733.2, SP11 or greater, and ESU3646923 installed. You also need to
add the following line in the [INTERACTIVE RUNTIME] section of jde.ini:
DataSelection=TRUE

Then, modify your menu selection Option Code (on the Define form). I
actually had to add the value "4" to 98/CD for Data Selection.

I just set it up and it works. (B733.2, SP13.1)

There is a paper on the KG (doc ott-00-0038, Prompt for Data Selection
Enhancement). It works with 7332. Requires ESU 3646923. Add a statement
under [INTERACTIVE RUNTIME] in client JDE.INI. The line is
DataSelection=TRUE. When designing a menu with that statement in, an extra
box pops up with the option to prompt for data selection. Click on that
box and the user gets a small window to select data selection and/or sata
sequencing when he/she takes the option from the menu.
