Customer Master Conversion

Doing a customer master conversion. Address Book converted 100% and now
trying to load the customer records from F03012Z1 into F0301 and F03012.
Receive an error in work center on every record, except the first one. The
records all convert correctly into F0301 and F03012 despite the error. The
records have the correct AN8 number (retrieved from F0101). I ensured that
the batch number, transaction number and line number correspond to the
values assigned by the interactive program when you enter batch records
manually. Working thru the master business function to try and find out
where the error comes from.

Hoping that one of you has a quick answer..:)

I get this error on records imported from a spreadsheet into the F03012Z1 as
well as on records manually added using the interactive version P0301Z1.

Error:

Warning: Call From :
Contact :
Phone Number :
Tickler Date : 10/25/2000
Subject : Error: Duplicate not allowed
CAUSE . . . . You have entered a value in this field which is a duplicate
of a value already entered on the screen. This value must be
unique.

RESOLUTION. . Change the value to one that does not already exist.

OneWorld version B733 version SP11.2_SEC.

Thanks
Hester

We just finished converting our legacy accounts into the Address Book and Customer Master using th 'Z' files. Just like you, we had very little trouble converting the A/B records. But, the Customer records reacted just like yours, by putting all the conversions in the work center as errors, but doing good conversions. We simply ignored the work center because of the volume of errors being generated. As long as your Customer Master data looks good, let it go. The output report should indicate how many 'actual' errors there were. At the end of your conversion, these will still be on the F03012Z1. Another thing we did was to write an RPG program to purge the completed records from the 'Z' files. The JDE program runs too slow. Our biggest problem has come with the Supplier Master conversion. R04010Z runs so slow it may take us forever to finish that conversion.

This could be because the EDI .....fields are not unique in the Z file. We haven't
gotten this error so I'm speculating.
