Cross-Reference

Hi list,
does anybody out there keep their Cross-reference tables updated. Just looking for a guide as to how long they will take to re-build.
Also is it possible to pick and choose (just need to see which tables reference a certain data item) or does it have to be all or nothing.

PS I called the JDE helpdesk and they did not have a single installation with the files built.

Hi Tim,

Although we have never built Cross Refs, this issue was discussed many times on the Lists/Forums, not only here on Developer's one but on the other "OneWorld XE" Forum/List too. These posts include many useful data about performance, configuration and hints for "how to Build". Please, seek for these posts on the Forum using the Search feature.

In response to the other part of your issue: "just need to see which tables reference a certain data item".

You have a ready to use way. Please, examine the contents of the "F98711 - Table Columns" table in the Central Objects data source.
TDOBNM - contains the name of the table (e.g. F0101)
TDOBND - contains the Alias name of the fields in the table (without
column prefix)
TDSQLC - contains the Alias name of the fields in the table with column prefix
