Contract Billing/Vertex

I was wondering if anyone was having any problems with the contract billing module using Vertex software for taxes. we are currently installing XE software and have decided against service billing in favour of contract billing. We will be implementing vertex as well. I have heard that there are problems with service billing and vertex and was wondering about contract billing before we get too far.
