Citrix IMS and OW Security

I am trying to use the Citrix IMS (product packaging) to deploy OW to my
TSE's. The deploy works OK but when I try to sign into OW I get a
security error and need to call JDE for a security code. Once the code is
entered all is fine.

I will soon be deploying to about 30 TSE's and if I need to call JDE for
each server this will not work, as the idea is to reduce deploy time from
the current 2 hours for 7 TSE's.

If anyone has experience with Citrix IMS or has an idea as to how I can get
this deploy to work without the need to call JDE for each TSE server, it
would be much appreciated.

TIA,
Tom Davidson

The Citrix IMS will package the original install with the license key that was registered on the packaged server. What you have described is exactly what to expect.

Unfortunately I don't know if any way to change this behavior inside the package. Maybe there is a way to install a OW client without a license? This would be useful for fat client ghosting as well. Then the first time you connected to OW you could get the new license key just like when you renew every year? Is this possible?

Thanks,
Jeff

Well...I havn't used the IMS but I have ghosted a machine with oneworld on
it. When I logged on to the newly ghosted machine, I got the security
violation. At that time on the screen where it ask for SPC code, on top
there is button Get Authorization code if you press that, it should populate
the code from deployment server.

Try it and let me know.

I've tried that before and no luck. I forget what the exact error message was but JDE said sorry you will have to re-install the client from scratch. It is nice to know my yearly support fees generate such useful answers... But Tom is running XE (we aren't yet) so maybe this is working now.

I was hoping someone knows a command line switch or something like that to keep it from registering a license until the first logon.

Thanks,
Jeff

is this occurring for both dull and update packages? can't you just use IMS to run the install cmd:-
"\\<DEPSVR>\B7333\OneWorld Client Install\Setup.exe" -v -d C:\B7 -p <PACKAGE>
on each citrix server?

We are fully licensed to use IMS. As such, I would like know if any sites are succssfully using this before i consider a third party solution.
