Hi List,

One of my companies recently changed from a calendar year to a fiscal year.I
ran the Repost Account Ledger program P099102 to repost my ledger from a
calendar year (beginning 01/01/00) to a fiscal year (beginning 10/01/99).
The ledger records updated without a problem but I'm running into a problem
in the Fixed Assets. I'm attempting to run the Asset Account Balance Close
for the year 1999 and I'm getting an error. When I query the F1202 file
there are no records for the fiscal year 99...everything is in fiscal year
00. This tells me that the F1202 records were not updated when I ran the
repost program. Does anyone know what program, if any, I need to run to
update the F1202 records to reflect the change in accounting periods?

Thanks

P.S. As far as I can tell we had all SAR's applied with regards to this
program.

G'Day Debbie

Have you run the post G/L to Fixed assets ? (menu G1212)

What a brave thing to do!

The P099102 is notoriously unstable, to do a global repost is not usually advised. I asume you used the CUM12 version?

Do you not use the F0311, f0411 or any other files that have period numbers in them? If you do you have opened up a can of worms.

Also, is this the first year for this company? If not did you go back to the first year and run yearends for each year?

I don't know much about Fixed assets but hope you have considered all other aspects. If you have then congratulations.

Good Luck

Neil
