Can not enter sales order for particular combination of Doc & Line type

Client is using world7.3A cumm 11.The PO application P4211 is being used for Intercompany sales order ,document type SN, line type S.The processing option is set for relevant document type,line type.During order entry user enters specifc lot number in detail area.System returns message -1>lack of qty on hand 2>Qty exceeds available & places back order.Surprisingly enough stock is available. As per client's process hard commitment occurs during print pick slip.But here we are hardcommiting during order entry by spceifing lot number. Above process works fine with other document types & line types.P4210 is customized.

Any guess what must be going wrong?

When you are placing order please check from which location system takeing quantites if you are using Lot proces then check out lot quantites also see branch/plant is same or not.
Go to Location Master P4100 and check the quantites.
