Calling custom application for approval from Workflow

We are using JDE 9.0 and the tools release 8.98.
We have a requirement for a workflow, where the approver needs review the data and then approve the workflow request. The workflow is working file when I call P98806 JDE standard approval/Reject form. However if I call the custom application then the workflow is showing 'Error' in the process Task Monitor. I guess, I missing some setups to call the custom application. If anyone worked on the same, then please let me know how we can fix the problem.
