Why the p3002 program is taking too much time to enter data.It will take atleast 3mins to come to the next line.
Can anyone help?

Go thru the jde.log or generate the debug log and see where its taking longer.

are you getting any error in the jde.olg?

How big are your F3002 and F4102 tables?

could you reindex these tables and try again?

Could you also check if you have the deployment server running (we have experienced the system going so slow due to the deployment being off, and the users jde.ini looking for help files in the deployment server)

In P3009, check if the option "on-line BOM validation" is activated.
If it's activated , bill of material creation is taking longer

We JDE-ers are always quick to blame User Overrides, but it is sometimes the truth (sort of like IT asking if you tried rebooting your PC). It's easy to rule it out as the problem, delete the User Overrides and see if the behavior remains.

We have found this to be the case 95% of the time. Glad to hear others go the same route to ferret out issues.

Good thought, and it doesn't hurt for George to check it out, but I'm nearly certain that the BoM Validation (checking for recursive structures, resetting LLCs on the fly, etc) isn't invoked until the OK button is pressed. Shouldn't affect line to line activity during entry.
