BC on Form Twice

Hi all,
I would like to place a business view column on my find/browse form more than one time to facilitate different filter options(I plan on hiding them). I have seen this done on an application I just worked on but can't seem to figure out how to do it.
Once I place the business view column on the form it disappears from the fields available to be placed on the form. I have tried to copy and paste the field once it has been placed on the form, but the "pasted" item has a yellow/data dictionary designation when I do that.
Can anyone tell me the trick to doing this?

Hi Bill,
Yes, you are right - the solution (trick) is Copy/Paste.
I have tried it on our B7332 and it works fine, I got the blue designation. Although our configuration is a bit different (see in my signature Could it be an SP level dependent issue?
I am going to try to some cents to solve this issue if solvable at all.

1.) Does it mean that the first row under the Event Rules Name is emtpty on the Control Properties sheet of the copied control and you haven't got the Filter button?

2.) Try to use the "Edit/Associate/Database Item..." FDA menu selection sequence.

3.) Have you Copy/Paste with CTRL-C and CTRL-V. If yes then try to use Copy/Paste from the Edit menu of the FDA.

4.) Have you Saved/Closed the APPL before Copy/Paste. If you have not, then try this way.

Another option is to
1) Insert multiple dictionary fields of the same type
2) Select all of the fields that you have inserted
3) Use 'Edit / Associate Data Base Item' to associate all of the fields to
one business view item

I use this when I have multiple radio buttons that are to be assigned to one
business view item

Or could it be that Zoltan is copying the BC value with filtering already
set up and Bill is trying to copy before adding the filtering? I think
you'll find that once filtering is set up for a BC value it becomes
available again in the Insert Business View fields window again. Let us
know.

Thank you for your response. It turns out that I was not applying the filter to the item first. Once I did that the item becam available again in the database items to select!

Another technique that was suggested and I tried involved inserting data dictionary items and selecting all of them, then do an associate to the database which worked also.

Thank you for your suggestion. It worked great. I also tried the other suggestion of applying the filter and then was allowed to place it on the form again using insert business view.
