JDE List,

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to do Barcode printing from OW and the
AS/400? Don't want to do the printing from a client but actually from the
400.

Thanks,

James-

I am currently facing with the same issue. We are
running B7332 on AS/400 and need to print UCC-128
compliant labels to printers in the warehouse. We are
going to write a custom App to export the label data
out of OW and populate a single table on the as/400
then call a CL. The CL will call a third party
software (running on the 400, called Mark Magic) to
read the file and create the label. I know that OW
has a basic label program, but it doesn't have barcode
capability and therefore a 3rd party software is
needed.

If y'all have a better solution then this let me know.

James,
We have a program that will read the PDF produced by OneWorld and drive
several Bar Code Labels printers. This is available Native on AS/400, NT
and Unix. You do not need to write a custom program to export the data. You
can do everything from the AS/400 ( The label design is windows based, but
production printing does not require operator intervention and runs on the
AS/400.

The program supports most popular thermal label printers. It also handles
distributed printing to multiple printers ( can be driven by Brach ID's
etc.)

The bar code label data can come from an existing report ( Invoice, Pick
Slip, Pack Slip) produced by the RDA or you can simply design a new report
with the RDA. If the information you want to print on the label is already
on a Pick Slip or Invoice you should not have to write any new reports. When
the UBE produces output, the program will automatically print your labels
and let your invoice, pick slip or pack slip print without changing your
current user operation..

If you want more info send me an e-mail or call me 678-584-1640 ex 26

Regards,
Steve Luke
