B7332 Service pack 14.1

Are there any clients out there that is running Jde oneworld B7332 Service
pack 14.1.

We just upgraded from SP 12 to 14.1 and now on 14.1 the following has occured.
1. Can't ship confirm(without logging turned on)
2. Can't Print through sumitted jobs.
3. receiving lots of entries in the Alert log for trace files. (running on
oracle platform)

These are just a few of the problems. I was just wondering if other people
are experiencing similar problems.

Hi,
We installed SP14.1 last week and have had a host of problems. We also had the ship confirm and print job problems among others such as versions being trashed. We are goint to uninstall the SP. I was told...unconfirmed...that JDE is recalling SP14.1 because of major problems with it.
Nick

We installed SP14.1 and had many, many problems with it. JDE told us it was
just us and that it was not the SP. Big issues we had were with Printing -
Optio has major issues with the change in PDF format. The Supplemental
Data application (P00092) would just lock up.

And there are many errors in the logs - for example:
LIB0000219 - RegOpenKeyEx failed with the Windows error number 5 (Access is
denied.)
LIB0000505 - jdeRegOpenKeyEx failed in jdeGetOneWorldRegKeyName
MSC0001066 - jdeGetOneWorldRegKeyName failed in GetKeyForOfflineSettings
MSC0001039 - GetKeyForOfflineSettings failed in CheckForOfflineFeature
JDB9900299 - Failed to create global table specs for F00166
JDB9900307 - Failed to find table specifications
COB0000120 - Business function F4311EditLine passed incorrect error map to
CallObject!
JDB9900299 - Failed to create global table specs for F90005
JDB9900307 - Failed to find table specifications
JDB3100007 - Failed to get valid table specifications
Warning:Application P4210-Form W4210E- Associated Description column for

incorrect segment number
[Invalid Overwrite or Read] The system may become unstable. Please debug the
Application using the Event Rule Debugger. Application:p00092 Event :post
Dialog is Initialized

After fighting with it for over a week, we rolled it back to SP11 and our
issues went away - including all the above errors in the logs. THerefore we
concluded that service pack 14.1 was the cause of the issues. Since JDE
says we are the only ones experiencing these problems they are not actively
working to resolve them until we reinstall the services pack and
troubleshoot the errors with them (at least that is what we were told).

We would like some of the enhancements that are in the later services packs
(after 11) and so we are hoping that JDE works some of these out soon. We
will have a test system up and running in a couple weeks and maybe we will
try the service pack there.

Karen :

I've suffered a weekend nightmare with SP 14.2 too (on B7331).
After some absurd troubles and dispair, I've concluded that the
latest safe Service Pack for B7331 is SP 11.3; and that every SP>11.3
was designed for Xe even if JDE promises they runs on B7331/2 too.

Yours, Sebastian

We're on SP13.1 and everything runs great. You might want to try this
instead of staying at SP 11.3 or going to SP 13.3, SP 14, 14.1 or SP 14.2.
If you''re on B733.2 or below there are a lot of features that you get by
going to an Xe SP (above SP11.3). Seeing all the comments about SP14 I think
I'll wait until SP15.1 before I upgrade.

I have heard horror stories about 14.1 and 14.2 for OW release B7331, but
has anyone on B7332 installed 14.2? If so, how stable is it?

Try SP 13.1 it works like a charm after you install the one off's. We've
installed the ESU enhancement and countless other ESU enhancements with no
problems.

One issue with your suggestion is that JDE usually closes the door on
older Service Packs once newer options are made available. We've been
hit with that at least twice in the past year. Odds are that 13.1 isn't
available now that 14.1 is out and 14.2 is pending/out.

I think everybody is having nightmares when putting the latest Service
Packs. Remember the days when Service Packs was a simple task. Now, you
better have good backups before installing a Service Pack.

Noticed on the JD. Edwards site that Service Pack 14.3 is going to be
available first week of March.

It seems to me that if you are on B733.1 or B733.2 the most stable Service
Pack is 11.3. For Xe, it seems to be Service Pack 13 or 13.1. Is this a
true statement?

What Service Pack should a new OneWorld installation have? I'm scared to put
a Service Pack with all the nightmares going on.

Adrian,

I'm on Xe and Sp13.3 ran great. The only reason I went to 14.1 was to fix
issues I had with JAS server. For me, it's not an option to restore 13.3
because my JAS server is running great. On the other hand, 14.1 has caused
other issues with packages which I have been trying to resolve for a couple of
weeks. So, if you're not running a JAS server, I recommend staying on 13.1 or
13.3.

Rob,

Did you have any problems with your update packages to the clients after you
installed SP14.2? I installed 14.1 at the beginning of the month and have not
been able to get an update packge installed on my clients.

AW: B7332 Service pack 14.1

We installed SP14.2 on a coexistence A7.3 with OW 733.2. And --- we
reinstalled SP14.0 since we could not deploy and the system was unstable
with SP14.2. We are waiting to either 14.3 or 15.0. Hopefully a better SP.

Re: AW: B7332 Service pack 14.1

Roland,

What platform did you apply SP14.2 too, I understand that the majority of
coexistence are running on AS400, but I need you to confirm your platform,
so I can let my department know that an AS400 platform did not have a
success story on AS400 and we may need to hold off as you are doing for a
better SP.

We have just installed SP15 and are fine so far. At least we have found big
bugs, yet. Except multilingual package build, however SQL helps sometimes
and the first full package was successful.
