Good morrow List,

I get this jde.log when I open my UBE's ER window:

"225/219 Fri May 11 10:05:19 2001 jdb_ctl1789
Starting OneWorld
162/161 Fri May 11 10:38:56 2001 jdb_old1499
JDB9900231 - Failed to execute API : API Not supported
162/161 Fri May 11 10:38:56 2001 jdb_old1499
JDB9900231 - Failed to execute API : API Not supported
162/161 Fri May 11 10:38:56 2001 JTP_TM2362
JDB9909162 - Failed to find primary index to use for timestamp registry
162/161 Fri May 11 10:38:56 2001 jdb_old1499
JDB9900231 - Failed to execute API : API Not supported "

Can anybody help me in translating/interpreting it?
Thank you,
Adrian

Which UBE have you launch ? Is it a table conversion ? I've this error
before when i have work on a B7321 Oneworld version. It was a table that was
not generated in the correct datasource. Send me more information, perhaps i
could help you

Re: RE: B7321 API Not supported(?)

Salut Frank,

Thank you for taking the time to reply. You got that right, it is the ... hum, OLD B7321 who gives me these errors (none of them seen in our Xe release). There's no Table Conversion involved here; it's just the Report Design Aid.
The jde.log is clean up to the second I Open the Event Rules window for ANY section of ANY UBE. Like this:
a) I start the Object Librarian
b) Select the UBE - say R0006P
c) Check it out
d) Click on Design
e) Double click on the Header branch in the Report Tree
The jde.log says
329/142 Mon May 14 08:57:35 2001 jdb_ctl1789
Starting OneWorld
f) Right-click on the Section and
g) Select Event Rules Popup Menu Item
h) The Event Rules (editor/window) opens and
my jde.log gets the infamous errors "Failed to execute APIs ... "
Tell me what (additional) information is needed :)
Thanks

RE: RE: B7321 API Not supported(?)

Hi Adrian,

I don't know if you have resolved your problem. I've many works last week
(Euro conversion) and i didn't have time to reply to you.

So could you check in the client jde.ini if the lock manager is activate. it
should seem like this :

[LOCK MANAGER]
Server=
RequestedService=NONE

This is a cause of your error.

Re: RE: RE: B7321 API Not supported(?)

Franck,
I do really appreciate your reply; I was out of the office the last few days (and I did not turn the AutoReply ON!!! :)
My client jde.ini doesn't have the LOCK MANAGER section (I attached the file, anyway), and, sorry but I'm not sure I got it; am I supposed to activate it?
Thank you very much,
Adrian

Re: RE: RE: B7321 API Not supported(?)

Adrian,
Prior to release B733, transaction processing was primarily controlled by settings in the [TP MONITOR ENVIRONMENT] section of the jde.ini file.
Starting from B733, OW use the [LOCK MANAGER] section instead of the previously mentioned (and/or just partially the previously mentioned).

You can read detailed information about this issue in a chapter under "Transaction Processing" section of the "Devepment Tools" XE!!! documentation.
I suppose, you have XE documentation for your sandbox XE.

Zoltán
P.S.: Glad to read You again here.

Re: RE: RE: B7321 API Not supported(?)

The pleasure is mine, Zoltán,

I'd be very happy to read the recommended document, should that necessity arise.
Currently, it is NOT my understanding the bespoken document solves MY B7321 ISSUE (I mean, your kind replies, filled with goodwill, got me nicely confused :)
Therefore I'll be saving the pleasure (of reading something and, hum ... finding out it handles ANOTHER OW release problem ...) for future endeavors :)

Thank you, everybody,
Adrian
