I am using E1 8.12 with Tools Release 8.96. So I cannot use 'Push Installation'
Is it possible to schedule the report for Package Deployment (R98825D|XJDE0001) at the night.
Now I am following the procedure from home(it's a mess
).
1. Login to the JDE to know if there are logged in users. If there, wait until they sign-off
2. Check there is any reports running. If so, wait until it finishes.
3. Run the application P9631 to deploy the package.
4. Wait until the package deployed successfully.
5. Even it is successful, check if we can login to JDE, and then a report to ensure everything is working fine.
The deployment task is a five minute job. But all the above steps will steal more than 30 minutes. How about automating the steps ?
I think, the steps 1,2,3 can be done by customizing the report R98825D|XJDE0001.
Steps 4,5 can be done using some testing scrips.
How about my idea ?
OR is there any other ways to achieve the same.
