AS/400 Install Enterprise Server Name Questions

We are installing OneWorld Xe on an AS/400, (V4R5) and wonder what others are using for the Enterprise Server name during the install? Our System Name (via DSPNETA) is different from our our TCP/IP Host Table Name entries (actually we have two). We do not want to change our system name OR put it in the TCP/IP Host Table. Does this make a difference, or does the JDE software only use the ping-able TCP/IP Host table entry as the Enterprise Server name?

The Deployment Server is the INS 700 card, and Central Objects will live on the Enterprise Server.

Any help in this regard is appreciated.

Excellent question. I have seen this really screw up installs. Be sure to
set these two equal (either the SNA or the IP name can be used). Do not
install and have these different. Why? The host name is primarily used by
the client at runtime. However, the AS400 datasource definitions have a
field called "Library List" which is the RDB directory entry that is set up
with the WRKRDBDIRE commands. OS/400 gets confused for some reason if this
is set up with a different name than the DSPNETA SNA system name.

So, play it safe and set them equal.
