APS integration within ERP9.0

Morning List,

Does anyone know to what extend the APS software has been integrated within ERP9.0? Is it similar as e.g. the advanced warehouse or transportation modules? Simply activating a flag and you're ready to use the module? Or do you always need to pay extra licensing fees for using APS? If so, has this been increased? The former Numetrix software was always very expensive (e.g. 100K Euro per user license). If it has been decreased recently this might be of interest for our business.

Martijn,

The old APS suite is no longer available - it has been replaced by what
Oracle calls Value Chain Planning (VCP). The only holdover modules from
the original Numetrix software are Production Scheduling and SNO. There
are several more applications, such as Supply and Distribution Planning,
Global Order Promising, Inventory Optimization, and others. You can
find more information on Oracle's web site.

As far as the integration, it is now integrated with E1 under Oracle's
Application Integration Architecture (AIA) with a specific Process
Integration Pack (PIP) that provides bi-directional integration.

The VCP applications are not (and really never have been) part of E1.
They are licensed separately, and the PIP must also be licensed. And
you are correct - they are not inexpensive!
