Data selection security

Hello list.

Though this topic was previously discussed in the forum I would just specify
the problem.
Does anyone know how to secure access to DELETE button on the Data Selection
window? We do need to restrict users from deleting data selection
conditions (rows in window), perhaps it is possible by making the DELETE
button unavailable for particular user groups?

Can you use version security, specified in Version Details, to disallow access to data selection?

I believe that version security 1 makes it so only the "last modified by" user can make these changes.

Hi Alexei,

From the eyes point of a developer (like me), this can be solved with a bit development.

- remove the protected selections from the version(s)
- append these selection with ER codes to the user selection in the Initialize Section event of the affected section

Here is what you need to do

During the dataselection screen right click on the particular data selection and you will get a advance button. click that and make this data selection locked... With this being locked, user cannot delete or change this data selection.. This can be done per line on the data selection.,..

We are on E810... But I belive this exist in other release too... Attach is a screen shot on how to do this.
