UTB Cut & Paste

While trying to help a user on an issue we were asked to cut & paste rows of a table from UTB into Excel. It doesn't work for us, only get the first field instead of all the fields. Spoke with our developer who's never seen this work before but it seems to for Denver. There are no processing options, is there a setting in the ini file? Has anyone heard of this? Does it work for everyone but us? Inquiring minds would like to know:)

Jim,

When you are doing the cut and paste are you highlighting the leftmost gray
box which highlights the entire row and hitting CTRL-C? Those are the steps
I have used to successfully paste the entire row (or course you get no row
headings .... but I guess we can't have everything!) This DOES have to be
done on a row by row basis....no copying multiple rows in a single sweep!

Hi Jim,
I have never seen to work the Copy to Clipboard neither in B7321 nor in B7331, B7332 and XE and on several SP level.

Depending on how many tables do you want to do that on and/or on your customer expert level and reliability you have to choice (at least):

1.) Create a BSVW containing all the columns of the table and create an APPL with a simple Find/Browse or SearchAndSelect form based on this BSVW. The Export from Grid will work for you.

2.) Access the table with MS Access and Copy from it.

Thats all from me. Sorry.

It seems to be fairly evenly spilt as to being able to & not being able to. I was able to get the information through our DB browser without having to create an application like Zoltan suggested. Just because we can't do it makes me all the more determined to find the reason:) We're trying to see if the version of Excel makes the difference. Maybe a setting in Excel. I'll post the reason when (not if) we find it:)
