UBE ends with E status but actually is Done

Hi list,
Job ends with E status when submitted to server but we CAN see if we click
on "View PDF". It's there! If we turn on the jdedebug.log it NEVER happens.
In previous versions developers said they could solve it going to RDA and in
the BSFN calls there was an option to turn it to SYCHRONOUS/ASYNCHRONOUS,
but we didn't find anything close to this in Xe.
It happens ocasionally and it's not related to any specific environment,
user, report or version.
We're at SP16.1 / Up2 - Oracle 8.1.7 - AIX 4.3

I have been seeing this myself lately (last 5 weeks). It may be correlated to when the user uses "Print Immediate". We have a couple of UBEs that have a 30% "failure" ratio.

Sure would like a clue on it. Each time I try and get a debug log it works.
