No at the moment you cant use *Today in WW.

This topic has been on the list in the past.
Many different suggestions. You can look in the archive for more details.

What we do here is we have a copy of the F00365 file that only has 1 record
in it.
At 12:01 each morning this file is updated. Then all world writers that
need to be data selected on *today just have to be linked to this file.
(makes it real simple)

Try joining to the F00365 file. Properly set (through program P00365) it
can hold today's date.

Recently the list was informed of quite a few enhancements that were coming to WW, including Data Selection pop up as well as some other things. I just noticed a SAR 313744 that appears to add the *TODAY functionality to WW as well as the Data Selection issue. At the time JDE (Treasure D.) mentioned that these enhancments were due in cume 13 (which jives with the SAR) and that it MAY be possible that because of the volume of folks interested in these great enhancements, that a ptf tape of the WW enhancements could be available without having to upgrade to cume 13. If Treasure is listening, could you update us on the progress. SAR 313744 appears to be completed so does that mean all of the "other" enhancements are also completed or is WW waiting for some others as well?

This enhancement will be included in Cume 13, which is currently scheduled
for November release. In the interim, we will provide a separate update
with all of the WorldWriter enhancements and other SAR's as soon as our
programming and testing is complete. This will probably take about 2
months.

The WW enhancements and other SARs will also be available for A8.1. We are
programming almost every SAR for both A7.3 and A8.1.

There are a few exceptions where the functionality is very different or new
integrations where there are not enough A8.1 customers interested in
purchasing the related product.

I will notify this discussion group when it is available to be ordered. We
are going to include most of the WW programs to minimize cume dependencies.
However I would suggest that you run this in a test environment first if you
are not on cume 12.
