Jude,

There are two different and distinct possibilities when you talk about
"...get their invoices electronically." One is, as others have been saying,
simply transmitting an electronic version of a printed invoice. This has
been gone over extensively in the archives and you may want to review the
pros and cons there first. The other is doing Electronic Document
Interchange (EDI) (I've used the TLA so long I'm not sure about the words).
EDI is complex and should be done with the help of someone who is very
familiar with it. As someone else has mentioned you have to have a VAN and
a separate software package such as Extol or Harbinger. There are a number
of the people on this list that have experience with both.
