The OW order line number (SDLNID) can be overridden as the order line is
being entered or before the order is committed. You could establish a
procedure to manually enter the customer line number in the line number
field as the order is being entered. Once committed the line number can not
be changed or duplicated. I don't know of any PO or system setting that
would prevent line numbers from being automatically generated while the
order is being entered.

I want to store both the line number that we assign here as well as another line number that is assigned by customer (maybe be letters or numbers)...so I need another field...any suggestions?
