Optio users and OW service pack 14.1

Has anyone gone from SP11.2 to SP14.1 that uses Optio. We are finding that the pdf files have fields that have moved around enough to not work using the sp14.1.

Anyone been through this before?

The issue with Optio is that SP13 and above is an XE level service pack. At this SP level, JDE uses Adobe Font Files as standard, as opposed to previous proprietary font files. Optio is not capable at the current release using CONTENT "JDE" (Input Channel) of reading the output PDFS with its current release of DCS.

In your INI file if you put under the UBE section

UBEUseAdobe=0

The should turn off the Adobe Font files and use the old ones.

However I have been told, and am currently seeking clarification on this, that this setting is defunct in SP15 and above.

DCS 6.3 or DCS 7.5.6 are capable of using Xe "Adobe" PDFs while changing the CONTENT "PDF" in your input channel. With these new releases of Optio you will have to re-do you mapping.

If you need Double Byte support then you need to use DCS 7.5.x, if you don't then I would make do with the INI file change until DCS 6.3 arrives

I want to thank everyone for their input. I received the following explanation from our optio rep.

The reason the data is shifting is because SP 14.1 takes you to XE level output. JDE changed their pdf output at the XE level. The font metrics used in the new format is different from
the old pdf.
