For those of you who don't know, a forum regular, "jstooge", passed away on June 9th, 2014. He was 49.
Better known apart from JDEList as Jim Stuebgen, I had a chance to cross paths with him once at a client site I used to frequent. I can't say I had the pleasure to call him a friend or anything more than an acquaintance, but anytime someone we know passes away, it is a time to pause and reflect on how lucky we are to be here.
Jim is survived by his wife and twin sons.
There's an online guest book you can sign if you'd like to do that, but I won't post the link here. You can search for his obituary if you feel so inclined.
It's just another reminder to us that those people who've helped you in the past, or might have at least tried to helped you, are real living and breathing people with lives, families and passions away from their profession.
Our time on Earth is short, relative to the vast amount of time it has been in existence and will continue to exist long after we are gone, but while we are here, I like to think that one of our duties is to try to help others if we can. Not all of us feel inclined to do so, or inclined to do so often, but those who do can impact the lives of others in ways it is difficult to measure.
No one required Jim to help anyone on JDEList, but I know he did many times and for that I will say he will be missed.
