How to attach a UDC table

Hi,
Can you provide us a little bit detailed description about your problem?
Does application mean a Form?
Do you want to use a UDC field on the Form?
Do you want to use a UDC table on the grid?
Do you want to attach a UDC table to a field as Visual Assist?
etc.
Thanks,
Zoltán
P.S.: and what is your system configuration as release and SP levelel, etc.

I don't know what you mean by application. An UDC table can be attached to
a field. To do that you have to go to Work with Data Dictionary items
(P92001) and select the data item to which you want to attach an UDC. In
the Visual Assist you have to select Search Form. In Edit Rule you have to
specify the System code and UDC Code of the UDC table.
Hope this helps.

Hi J,
As you answered my questions to my private e-mail, I already know that you want to attach UDC table to a field on a form as Visual Assist.
I also answered you as "Go to the Properties of your field and select Overrides. There you will have the choice selecting "Visual Assist"."
Arup also replied you suggesting an alternate method.
Please, consider the following:
If you add or override the Visual Assist for a Data Item in the Data Dictionary then it will affect all Forms, Processing Options where it is used what is generally not desirable because it could cause unwanted side affects, mainly if you override the Visual Assist and/or when the Data Item has Edit Rule based on a UDC.
You can follow Arup's method if your Data Item is a custom, not a Standard OW data item and you need this feature everywhere you use it.
Otherwise highly consider that you really want this feature all over OW where it is used and consider the possible side effects too.
If the DD is a standard and has already Visual Assist or Edit Rule then in this case I strongly do not recommend to follow the DD method.
