How Big is Big?

List Users,

We implemented B7332 Oct 2000 for financing and built a
close-to real time interface between our existing purchasing system and OW.
Currently all item master, supplier address and purchasing records are
created in our older system, the changes are synchronized every 60 seconds.
Receipts are done in OW and synchronized back to our purchasing system.

Now we are trying to move purchasing over to OW but getting
a lot of resistance. Their main argument is that the old system is highly
automated and requires considerably less effort to process the purchase
requisitions than OW. Over the past 5 weeks we have added 3743 new item
master records(f4101), 1652 PO header (f4301), 10930 PO details (f4311) and
11674 receipt records(f43121).

What types of industries are using OW ? (we are a large
engineer to order company) . How do these volumes compare with other
organizations ?. And how much purchasing man power are you using to process
these records.?

Thanks in Advance

Paul,

I work for a company by the name of Broadband Services. We have several
divisions that sell cable supplies, warehouse supplies, install service and
repair cable boxes. We implemented B7332 in April 2000 and use the
Financial, Distribution and Manufacturing modules.

We have approximately 10,400 item master records, 10,500 PO header records,
42,000 PO detail records and 71,000 receipt records. We have 2 divisions
that have a purchasing department - Fulfillment and Supply Chain. There are
approximately 20 people that handle everything from data entry to product
management.
