G/L Bank Account in A/R

Hi all,

I hope someone out there can help me with this....

I am currently looking at Accounts Receivable and have noticed something strange. G/L bank account in the AR ledger is sometimes blank....is this normal? I am trying to do some reporting off of this file (F0311) for a client and this is causing me some grief.

Ours is (always) blank as well. Must be a set up thing somewhere?

Check the G/L Bank Account setup in your AAI's. I bet
you have a blank bu/obj set up for item RB.

We don't use A/R, but I'm wondering if there is an AAI setup for the bank
account?

I don't know about Accounts Receivable, but you had better BEWARE in
Accounts Payable, since the G/L Bank Account is written to the F0411 file
when an invoice is entered.
This same bank account is used when the invoice is paid, therefore if you
change bank (as we have done recently) or have multiple bank accounts to pay
from, the system may not pick up all the items for payment that you expect.
We ended up writing a patch program to update the bank account in the F0411
as we were getting so many problems.
As regards the case with the AR ledger, could the source of the transaction
in F0311 be the reason for some records having a blank bank account? Could
be one program sets this field while another doesn't. Might be worth a
check.

The default bank account is set in the AAI RB (03.100) for AR and PB
(04.015) for AP. If you unsure of creating or hesitant in changing AAI's,
request assistance from local JDE support.
