BOM Subsitutes!

Hi All,
Any information on how substitutes work in JDE BOM.
How it will affect other modules.
We have Rate based manufcaturing ! Currently We are
not using substitute functionality in JDE BOM. We have
already checked the paper on knowledge garden @ Parts
list Substitute.
If we decided to use that, the How it will affect our
requirements planning?, we use Multi-facility
planning.P3483. What @ the Rate Schedule Workbench
program. will it show the substitute if..regular item
is unavailable/out of stock? any ideas ?

BOM Substitutes

Understand you are currently on A7.3 cum 5, not sure but doesn't the
rate base manufacturing not commit inventory of ingredients until production
gets reported, or are you using preflush of ingredients?

Thats rigth Max,
We do use the Rate Schedule Workbench for the
completions...
