AS400, V4R3 to V4R5

Hello JDEList,

I have been following the JDEList for a while now and I can see there is a
lot of experience and
skill existing here.
This is my first issue on the list.
Last weekend we upgraded our AS400 from V4R3 to V4R5, after that we have
had problems with
subsystem jobs. When we run a 'bv' (batch version) or schedule a RUNUBE
form the IBM scheduler
(the version is marked to be a 'subsystem job'), no 'subsystem record' is
inserted into F986113.
Anybody on the list that has been facing the same problem ?

Best regards
Mats Thunholm

Just this one UBE that is a subsystem version does not run? And that is
not inserting an "S" record into the F986113? Other UBEs are working OK?

I assume that is the case. Have you tried creating a new version and
submitting those specs to the server?

Are the jobs that "feed" this subsystem job writing their "R" records to
F986113? (For example, the order entry/completion system writing records
for the R42520 subsystem pickslips job..)

You probably have done this...

I would SBMJOB CMD(RUNUBE xxx) with *SECLVL for logging and see if I could
see any OS/400 log. See any clue here?

Set the JDE.INI on the AS/400 to have debug on and look at that log also.

Thank you Jack for your answers. I have checked the 'things' you are
mentioning here below,
but, other UBEs works fine, subsystem jobs writing 'R' works fine,
................

I have been in contact with the JDEdwards Support Desk and they told me
that this is a known
issue when running SP10 on V4R5. It has been fixed in SP11.3, so,
JDEdwards recommends me
to download SP11.3.

By the way Jack, I can see that you are running SP11.3, have you came
across any problem with that SP (SP11.3) ?

Thanks
Mats Thunholm

Re: RE: AS400, V4R3 to V4R5

SP 11.3 has been good. I can't think of any issues there.

We had subsystem jobs on SP10 and V4R4 running OK. I wonder if it has to do with the "wakeup interval"... You might try altering this.
