XE

My company is in the process of migrating from B7331 to XE. I just would
like to know from the people running XE what they think about it. Is it a
good version ? Any problems during the implementation? What about HR and
Payroll modules (do they work)? Any input will be greatly appreciated.

HR and Payroll on XE have been relatively good. XE w/Upd1 has numerous
(pretty nasty) problems. We have about 16 issues that we ended up fixing
ourselves over two months to become stable. R31802 (WIP) is a disaster
(always has been). I think we have about 7 or 8 of our own fixes in this on
UBE at the moment.

Maybe Update 2 helped... I don't know.

We have had numerous ESU requirements of late. Almost all of them have
included a very small number of objects. Which is GREAT. Much more
manageable. I don't know if JDE actively improved this... Or if we
have just been lucky lately on ESUs.

I will be nice and give credit to JDE for taking a bit more time to think
though the object packaging of ESUs.
