What is the best practice to develop business functions in jde?

Hi All,

As I am JDE beginner I started to learn business functions in C.

But I am unable to understand code when I opened X00022.c file.

I am passing address number and retrieving alpha name.

It is also same like GET NEXT UNIQUE KEY ID(X00022.c).

I struck in between ,Can one help me on this.

How to start to write my own business function in c.

Sorry Nagendra, you're in the wrong forum. In JDE World we don't write code in C and our Business Functions are subroutines written in RPG.

Hi George,
Do you have any idea on fiscal year date pattern change of CO in JDE.
We are planning to change fiscal year from Jan - Dec to oct- sep . What should be the recommended method to perform this fiscal year change and what is the impact on fixed assets.

If you have any info on this please let me know.

This question should have been asked at the forum level for World Applications . However in My Oracle Support there is a document in the Information Center: Using World General Ledger, Multi-currency, and FASTR products that talks about changing to Date Patterns, "How to Change From a Calendar Year to a Fiscal Year Date Pattern (Doc ID 626963.1)". Inside this document are references to other documents that discuss Fixed Assets considerations.
