Using Human Resource/ Human Capital Management in other countries

We are looking at expanding the usage of the HR/HCM modules throughout all of our company. This include Europe and Mexico where we have extensive operations.

My job is to determine what is and is not feasible in the implementation both in the US and other countries.

Has anyone implemented HR/HCM in other countries and what had to be done to enhance the modules? If we do implement, it will be in 9.1 and will not involve Payroll.

Thank you:

Hi Patrick.

I was a CNC on a project where we implemented JDE HR globally. It was a new implementation with an existing JDE ERP install. We did all of APAC, Europe, and Americas at one time.

One thing that really made implementing HR difficult was the EU data privacy laws. The EU data privacy laws are so much more restrictive compared to the rest of the world, you cannot effectively host it outside of Europe. The system had to be fully encrypted end-to-end and on the database server. In addition, we had to obfuscate (scramble) the test data to comply with the law. Apparently China's laws are headed this way too.
