We did just this. Now we are on B732.1, which made it a bit trickier.
Basically, we set up an isolated network of an NT box for the deployment
server, another for a terminal server, a few NT and 95 clients (both fat
and Citrix), and an AS/400 Enterprise Server. We restored the environment
from the AS/400 and edited the OneWorld tables to point to it (I can give
more detailed instructions, but they would vary for different releases).
The deployment server was trickier - we did a new install from the CD's,
then copied over information from the production deployment server. The
trickiest part was getting the Oracle database over - we had to export it
and then import it into the test server - this took a long time.
If you want any other details, I'd be happy to provide them off list.

Subject: Replicate JDE System for Testing upgrades, etc
Has anyone attempted to replicate their JDE DS and ES onto different
hardware in order to test upgrades, patches etc??? IE: move the software
onto another set of servers.
If so, would you share your info?
Please email direct to

Thanks for any help you can provide!!
