Pricing Question

For a specific customer we have discounts set up for them in advanced pricing. It currently takes 4% off of the base price. I'm being asked to load part numbers/pricing for this same customer in the price master, but we are not allowing them to get additional discounts for these specific parts. Is there a way to set this up in JDE? Thanks for your help!

Hi!

If you can't set up a category code for the items (discount allowed/not allowed) and set up the discount to only give discount for the allowed items by this category code, the you could set up a dummy adjustment for these specific items as the first adjustment in price schedule and then use the "go to" function to skip over the discount adjustment if the "dummy" adjustment was found fir customer/item combination..

Hope this helps

In the same adjustment that you have the 4% discount for this customer (either sold to or ship to), make sure that the preference hierarchy has Customer/Item set at a level before Customer level (set Customer/Item to 1 and add 1 to all other entries if Customer/Item is not set). Note: Preferences are cached.

Then add Pricing records for the Customer/Item combinations with a Discount = 0. When entering an order for this Customer it will find these discounts for these Items and apply 0% and for all other Items it will fall through to the old 4% Customer rule.

Hope this helps
