Illegal Operations with Win 98

Hi List,

We had experienced this problem(Illegal Operation) whenever the user try to add or edit a batch in AR/GL/AP. After they click OK in the P0011 (Batch Control) Windows will prompt a message which said:
THE PROGRAM HAS PERFORMED AN ILLEGAL OPERATION AND WILL BE SHUT
DOWN.
The details description is : OEXPLORE caused an invalid page fault
in module USER.EXE at 0011:0000095f.

There is a SAR in KG but the solution to this is to disable Batch Control in each module. We still need batch control for certain purpose. This problem arise after we applied SP 16. We don't want to sacrifice our business needs for the sake of JDE OW redundant feature in Batch Control.

Any solution please ?

Steven,

We had the same problem on Windows '95. Setting the library cache=20 in the
JDE.INI helps but only makes the problem occur "less often". After much
huffing & puffing from JDE we were told the only answer was Windows NT or as
you've said disable batch control. You will also see less of the problem if
you stay out of Microsoft Office

Hi IJC,

I am having similar problem with Windows ME. Other than upgrading to NT-OS is there any other workaround?

Thank you.

Best regards,
Arulthas.
