Form Interconnect - Sequence

Confusion abounds - within my realmy little head.... (no jokes please).

I am moving custom objects from B7331 to B7333. Most of this 'moving'
consists of re-creation of many of the objects. Once the objects are copied
over to XE, I do an ER Compare - and find that the Form Interconnect
parameters are sorted differently.

I can print out the form data structures and compare them (between B7331 and
XE) and they are sequenced identically. But when I attempt to do a form
interconnect - they are very differently sequenced...

Wha? Hawa? Whoa? Ouch? Anyone wanna tackle this?

Hi Daniel,

I had also an issue in the past which was posted on the Forum with the subject "Renaming BSFN Data Structure Members". I do not know really that does this correlate to your issue or not but here are some observation, supposition from me.

1.) JDE changed the handling of Data Structure members in XE to prevent spec corruption for data structures.
2.) I suppose, there are two sequence of data structure members:
A: The sequence that you set in the data structure designer
B: The sequence in what you added the members to the structure.
3.) You will see seq A always in the data structure designer (B7331 and XE too) and also in BSFN/Form Interconnect calls under prior XE but will see seq B in BSFN/Form Interconnect calls under XE.
4.) I suppose, prior XE identifies the members with their position in the designer while XE indentifies them with their "seq B type" order number. The prior XE identification could cause spec corruption if you change the sequence of the members or delete member(s) while XE identification could prevent it.

I don't think so that it could help you too much.

P.S.: Daniel. I am curious to how do you move the objects between B7331 and XE further what kind of setup/prerequisites required to use VER for B7331 and XE object comparision. I will appreciate if you will share these interesting informations with us. Thanks.
