Deleting PDF files

Does anyone know how to restrict users from deleting PDF output run from
other user ID's within the Submitted Reports application (P986110B) screen?

Also, if a user deleted a GL posting report, is there a history table that
logs all submitted jobs?

Set column security on the P986110B, Data Item = Userid , Alias = USER. Set the change field to 'N'.

This way users will not be able to change the User Id field, thus keeping them from viewing or deleting other user's jobs.

We typically restrict users from even seeing other user's reports, therefore
they shouldn't be able to delete what they can't see.

You could always just secure down the User ID field on the W986110BA form so
they will only be able to see their own jobs.

Look at the processing options for 'work with submitted jobs'. There is a
PO for only being able to see their own jobs, ie, they cannot view/delete
others jobs.

John, I could not find what you where suggesting. Could you give me more
detail?

Thanks,

I don't think that removing the delete action is the solution as you would
want users to delete their own reports.

Thanks,

Crawford

Re: RE: Deleting PDF files

The PO option works great unless your users are accessing submitted jobs from the form exit on the batch version screen. In this case, it calls a different program (P986110B) and ignores the values you set for the P986116.
