FW: GL batch problem
I think you are mixing up two things:
First, Posted status for batch header is "D" (Done?). Normally,
immediately after creating a batch is have a status of " " (Pending
approval) or "A" (Approved for posting). At this time it is perfectly
FW: A/R Conversion
I have never converted from World to OneWorld, but I have converted from
other legacy systems to OneWorld on several occasions.
You use F03B11Z1 *and* F0911Z1 to load invoices. Batch program loads
information to F03B11 and F0911. You still need to post them.
You use F03B13Z1...
If you just need to input Russian characters in the form fields, you can
do it. It is not required that NT or SQL Server are set to Russian
codepage, as long as no translation is performed (normally JDEdwards is
installed in this way, you can check it in ODBC DS properties). It is
File is quite straight forward. If it is not corrupted to rubbish, you
can open it and edit with Notepad.
In case you've lost the file altogether (I hope you did not), here is a
snap from our SQL7, Xe install (... means more of the same, Access DS
are NOT listed here, ENTSERVER is your...
RE: A/P payment document type : Choice ?
I can just confirm that they are hard-coded. More then that, if you
force a different document type (we tried to use NO for offsetting A/P
and A/R) and open a payment in manual payment, the doc type will be
overridden to PN (which can be *a problem* if...
RE: CBT Training - One World Overview XE
I've only seen B7331 CBT. It is good only for people who have never seen
OneWorld. They made me really sleepy, actual JDE training was more fun -
instructor was saying some really weird things, weirder then JDE itself
Seriously, you can take CBT...
RE: RE: RE: Adding a new Environment
I do not know anything about copying odbc.ini. I think that it's a
legacy file, and not sure if it is used by NT.
I must confess that I'm strongly NT-oriented, it might not work for
Win9* or Me. Copying registry:
1. Go to Start, Run...
RE: RE: Adding a new Environment
Have not thought about deploying to workstations. :-(
If you wish to go JDE way - you can deploy just foundation package (you
might need to amend \\(EnterpriseServer)\B7333\Client\ODBCDataSource.inf
manually, i'm not sure if it's updated...
Have a look at CNC Implementation, page 100. Below is a brief set of
steps, which assumes at least a limited degree of understanding of CNC.
1. Create ODBC datasources (in Windows Control Panel), pointing to your
new libraries (if they don't exist already)
2. Create OneWorld Database...
I can add something to that - a named user is actually one install on a
single PC. There are no concurrent users any more, but at the times when
there were, one concurrent user was equal 1.6 (or 1.4, don't remember)
of a named user. Surprisingly enough the license cost was also 1.6 times...
I can't agree with your point of slower package build times. The thing
is, when a package is built on the deployment server, the data is
retrived from Central Objects. If database is on the same machine where
build takes place, it eliminates network use. If you have a double
You may be right. For your OW release level and SP, which you did not share with us.
As far as I remember I had this issue in B7331 (it did not work with Acrobat 4.0, if it was installed in default directory). The problem was that OW did not handle quotes in command string (see registry in...
I'm not sure what was written in Perry's reply (could not find it in the
list). However, pathcode in OneWorld contains only the code. Data is
stored separately. Normally OneWorld works with an environment, which is
a combination of ONE pathcode and an arbitrary number of mappings (not...
Well, I can't say that I implemented this method, but it seems sound
I don't think you can selectively override files on "per application
basis". However, you can either
1. Copy applications in question to a custom, change the files to your
2. Create a separate environment for...
It is quite a common thing. You are right about owners, too.
If you need additional assurance - It will only replace data, but won't
replace any customization you made to programs or processing options.
