when we need submit version specification to server

Onething confuse me is when we need submit version specification to server, as JDE on line help said: we do it ONLY when we modified a batch application version that is called by another batch application.
OR we need to do it for all new/update versions with ER/data sequence/data selection change, otherwise it will cause version corrupt?

Version Specification will be updated on the server when you submit it. But it won't update, if it is submitted by another UBE.

I agree with Online help. BTW you have to make sure that client has a recently version spec before submit UBE. Because it may cause a malfunction report.
