I have an interview for a position that requires this program and I'm not familiar with it. Can someone please give me a brief explanation of what it does?? Please and Thank you!

This is not a program .... JDE is an ERP product (jdedwards.com will bring you to the Oracle sight with some info) and AS400 is hardware (look on IBMs site for hardware for info).

What they are indicating is someone with JDE experience and AS/400 experience. You obviously have neither and I would not try to indicate you do. Just explain you do not have it and would like to learn or are interested (if you are) but never try to indicate you understand it if you don't. I never do this and I think it never pays to, but that's just me:) Your call.

Fox is right. It not only doesn't pay to lie, it is simply impossible to "wing it" in this situation if you have no experience... This is not like Word and Excel, it is way bigger...

Also, experience is never claimed in bulk, but in skillsets -- technical, functional, CNC, by module.
Just look around all the forums here. Also, if the wording was exactly like JDEdwards AS400, they may also mean World, which is the original AS400 version of the later product, also known as OneWorld or JDEdwards EnterpriseOne. Happy New Year.
