Upgrading OS from 2003 to 2008

Hi,

We are currently on JDE 8.0 B7334, SP23 R1.

Here are the details of our configuration:

Dep server : Windows Server 2003
ES : AIX 6.1
Database : DB2 8.7
Web Server : IBM Websphere 6.0 Fix Pack 7 and Windows Server 2003

The windows server 2003 support is going to expire in June 2015. The client is not currently thinking of upgrading JDE.

We are thinking of upgrading windows 2003 to 2008 by taking JDE Service Pack 24.

What is the minimum technical requirement for SP 24 and has any one upgrade from Windows 2003 to 2008 if so what are the best ways to go over smoothly.

I did this on several machines with JDE 8.10. The IS guys did the upgrade, and it had zero impact on the JDE installs.

Hi Naren,

Some time ago now but we also upgraded Windows Server versions to 2008 across our entire company. There was no impact at all on our 8.11 install.
