Transfer inventory between companies

We have two companies physically located within the same building, both setup in JDE, and need to setup an inventory transfer process between them. I'm aware of the ST/OT process but I'm wondering if another option is available to us that isn't as process intensive, since they will be doing many transfers per shift. Can the P4113 be utilized to move item between companies? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Are you referring to different companies or different branch plants? We have always stayed with the ST/OT approach because we wanted to the costs to transact properly in association with the intercompany pricing we had established.

Could you provide a little more information?

You should be able to use the P4113 proces to transfer inventory. We use this process (normally only between BUs within a company) as well as the ST/OT process.

You will need to make sure your DMAAIs are setup correctly (right GL accounts) as well as your Item Master and Item Branch records (both branches setup under same item number).

The transfer would be between two BP's that belong to different companies, company A BP 10 will transfer inventory to company B BP 20. We are going to be transferring the material at cost and will account for any variances using the DMAAI's. We have the intercompany AAI's setup as well and seems to be processing correctly through the system, but I wanted to make sure we weren't missing something that would bite us later.

Thanks! Worked like a charm in terms of transfer pricing.
