Is anyone running the Real-Time Financial Reconciliation Applications?

These are a series of apps designed to replace the nightly integrity reports. Its a standalone ESU (JM17432), with the only pre-req that you have to be on tools 9.1.5.

We loaded the ESU in DV, and can't get most of the apps to work. For instance, when we run P097021, we get this error:

"Web Client Exception. An exception has been caught by the Web Client..."
"There was a problem with the server while running the business function BuildTransWoAccMasterWorkTable..."

I've opened a case with Oracle, but I seem to be in "gimme more logs" hell right now (I've given them just about every log except the Captain's).

So I'm wondering if anyone else is using these, and if they are, have you had any similar type issues?

thanks

Here's the apps and their corresponding reports:

P007032 will perform validations similar to R007032
P0072131 will perform validations similar to R007021 and R007031
P097001 will perform validations similar to R097001
P097021 will perform validations similar to R097021
P097031 will perform validations similar to R097031
P097041 will perform validations similar to R097041
P09706 will perform validations similar to R09706

Did you build and deploy a FULL package ? Seems that the EntSvr isn't able to see the business functions.....perhaps you can upload the EntSvr log files so we can check ?

Full package? No, our CNC deployed the ESU via an update build. I also did another update with just the BF's (still got the error). I can post the log messages tomorrow. There were a couple error messages, but not much else.

Is that a thing, that you have to do a full package after ESU's or new business functions?

6 years later...

I have implemented the ESU to use the on-line financial reconciliation reporting and having problems with one report in particular - the P097001 for (only) one of our companies. This company is a very large company with a large chart of accounts and large transaction set. We get the error (see text below) whenever we even try to run by this company for a single fiscal year - all of our other companies seem to be able to work fine. Is there something that we need to do to the data or increase server power in order to be able to run this application for this company? or is it just a matter of 'data set is too large'? Thanks!

WEB CLIENT EXCEPTION
An exception has been caught by the Web client. Please
contact your system administrator. See log for details.

There was a problem with the server while running the
business function CalculateCompaniesInBalance.
Please exit the application and restart it.

It could be a web client timeout issue if the CalculateCompaniesInBalance business function is taking a long time to complete.

That is what I thought. The company has a VERY large number of transactions when compared to our other companies that seem to run just fine.

I think I remember seeing something like that in a document related to the on-line financial reporting but cannot remember where I saw it. I'm not sure if it requires some sort of refinement of the data or if it is server issue that requires more power or something? We may just have to rely on the UBE for now until it (possibly) get fixed in a later tools release. Thanks for your reply!
