How to call AS/400 commands from OW

Hi,
We have two separate systems. One is OW other is AS/400. We are in a phase of developing an interface between them.
Regarding this does anybody has any idea how can we call AS/400 commands from OW?

Hi,

You can use the BSFN B34A1030. It is used to execute any external command. If the command needs to be initiated from a client, the BSFN will have to be mapped to the AS/400 using an OCM entry.

Do you want to execute something from inside a JDE program, or from a JDE Task View?

From ER, you can use business function Execute External Program to run programs outside of JDE. We've used it to run CL's from inside UBE's. If you have more questions about running commands from inside a program, you might have better luck posting questions on the Developers forum.

I think you might be able to do the same thing from a Task View. If that is what you want to do, try posting the question on the CNC forum.
