Flat File Formatting

Dear All,

I am currently exploring the possibility of using flat files to populate OW tables in Xe.
The position I'm currently in is that I have the text file that I have downloaded from my suppliers web site and it's currently stored on my local drive. I have also mapped the file in the P47002 cross reference program.
When I run the R47002c I receive an "invalid format" error. What is the next step I should be taking? Currently the text file is empty of any quotation marks or commas so I guess this is where the problem lies.

Many thanks in advance,

Adrian

Adrian,

Which tables do you want to populate?
One thing to keep in mind is that the data in the import-file must be in exact the same order as the 47-table you want to populate. In the documentation there is information about which fields are required etc. See also the processing options of the R47002C: e.g. the field delimiter and text qualifier.

(my two euro-cents)

Walter.
