Product Packaging in EO 8.9

Just a FYI for anyone trying to perform PP in EO 8.9...the Peoplebook on PP for EO 8.9 is wrought with misinformation and there are many settings to many of the UBE's that need to be made, a possible ESU to be applied, and the actual mastering UBE needs to be mapped to run locally. I have a document to follow to make it all work for anyone interested. DO NOT follow the instruction in the Peoplebook, it will NOT work.

I received an EO8.9 PP yesterday. I´m not sure about how it was created. So far we managed to make OW read the PP´s attached mdf database, after changing access permissions, table ownerships, etc.
Now you are saying that we will probably not be able to apply it anyway? We can "see" it aready in P96470.

I am most definately interested in your document! I have been trying to get this going for a few days. I have had some success but there still areas that are unclear.

One of the issues I had was that I had to manually create a MSDE database and attach script on the Mastering PC - is this correct?

I'm at the point now where I can build a successful PP but it doesn't merge anything on the Target Deployment Server. Is this due to the fact I have no 'Change Tables' selected as part of PP? I know this was an issue with Xe.
