Configure JDE Outbound Transactions Processing on AS/400

Hi..

We have to enable Outbound Transactions Processing on a JDE running on AS/400.

We understand the process but we do not know how to configure the relation between the transaction and the third party plugin that is handling the notification.

i.e.

Transaction = JDEPOOUT (JDE Purchase Order Outbound)
Order type = OP
Function Name = NotifyOnUpdate (notify the plugin)
Function Name = An absolute path to the third party program.
(In NT this is a path to a .dll)

>>>> How do we define the path to the (.dll alike) notify handler in the as/400 ??

Thank you !

Thank you Mike.
unfortunately the third party is using the JDE alert system and finds the deatils in the z-area once triggerd..

...any clue in what JDE manual this "DATA EXPORT CONTROL" is described.

here it is... are you working for IB ??

Maurizio,

The process is detailed in your documentation CD.
Look under the technical manuals for
Xe_Interoperability. We used API monitors to check
for new inbound and outbound transactions. As a new
transaction was detected, it was captured and
processed by the Gentran programs. Once Gentran
accepted the transaction, an update message was sent
to JDE indicating the transaction was completed.
