    Suppressing MRP warning messages

I've been asked to suppress the "A" messages that show in MRP Detail Review.

If change the INQUIRY to "simply skip" these rows,
they'll stay out there FOREVER and slow processing down.

I'd PREFER to "not write them" in the MRP regen.

Is there any way, in "vanilla" MRP to prevent these from writing?
If I remove them from the udc, will "bad things" happen?

    Please AND Thanks

UPDATE - looking at the RPG code in P3482,
MANY of the warning messages are suppressed
IF the VTX for that message (in R3482) in blank.

    Still digging....
    Stay tuned.....

    Re: Suppressing MRP warning messages

    ANOTHER UPDATE:

IF the "A" entry is removed from UDC 34/MT (MRP Msg Types),
11 of the 12 "A" messages will not be written to F3411.

As stated in the prior update, if I were to BLANK the VTX from F3482,
the messages would ALSO not be written.

Now that I know HOW to suppress these, I need to ask
"Will doing so cause BAD things to happen?

    Please AND Thanks

    Re: Suppressing MRP warning messages

There are many nuisance warning messages. However, if you do not display the A message type, the planners may miss some important information. Two that come to mind are "Lead time is 0" for either purchased or manufactured items, and "BOM missing" for manufactured items.

    Thanks.
Their data is pretty stagnant. If I clean it up, this shouldn't be a problem.
